I began my career with the goal of becoming a Naval Officer. In the Navy ROTC in both High School and College I received the building blocks of leadership. My respect for discipline and organization has driven me toward the desire to have my own command. While pursuing this goal amazed to see the courage, integrity and physical toughness displayed from the Marines. This fit my personality well; I later joined the Marines in 1987 and was series Honor-man. I served four years and after my time in the Gulf War, I returned and married Vanessa. I began to help her build her Drapery Business into a Company.

I used my experience from previous jobs as a licensed series 6 & 63 Investment Representative, Accounting intern and carpenter helper to get me started. We began to grow as I worked other jobs to support our dream. These jobs ranged from Insurance sales, Public Housing Manager to Fire Fighting. I’ve taken some values and concepts from all of the experiences to aid in the management and help provide vision for growing V.R. Norman into a Company. We are currently blessed to be the company that Installs mini-blinds for elevenHome Depot stores, many of which include the entire state of Mississippi. Our other clients include(d) Sears, Rhodes Carpet and Drapes and a host of Interior Designers throughout the State.

We do Product Knowledge (PK) classes for the Home Depot stores. At Antonelli College we have taught a class to their Interior Design Department on how to work with a workroom, how to measure and estimate fabric along with some show and tell with the tools of the trade.
